The 2019 edition of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous has just ended, and this year it has achieved a great success.
This is confirmed by numbers, this year in fact the event has registered over 22,000 presences. A strong presence of international visitors, including many Europeans: France (8.5%), Germany (6.3%) and Spain (5.3%). Many visitors also from the United States (10%) and Russia (7%). The event was divided into 4 very intense days, with over 150 exhibitors presenting 90 new boats worthy of note, with a length of over 32 meters. Viareggio was chosen for the event, now a reference point for the most important shipyards and craftmen.
Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous presented several previews. The highlight include the world debut of the Atlantis 45 of the Azimut Benetti Group and the prototype of the SAND marine drone, presented to the public as an absolute preview. Another noteworthy preview is Solaris, a model that arrived at VYR with the Solaris Power 55, designed by Brunello Acampora and which marks the return of Norberto Ferretti to the nautic field. During the event a sector study by Deloitte and Italian boating was also presented. The data of the study show that Italy is confirmed as world leader in the sector, registering a 46% share of the superyacht order book.
Another important brand of the Show was that of Franchini Yacht. A year after presenting the first project, Franchini returns to the fray with the MIA 6.3, a 19-meter boat that marks the resumption of the construction site. An open space with wide open and liveable spaces, with over 55 square meters of floor space below deck. Top speed of 34 knots but able to sail at 22 knots with a total consumption of 140 liters per hour, thanks to the two Volvo Penta IPS 950 engines.
These were the words of Paolo Borgio, Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous exhibition manager: “We close this third edition with the awareness that teamwork and synergy with territory are the key ingredient of this platform. It was four days of great listening and dialogue with all the operators. We are particularly satisfied with the new areas. The Luxury Tender & Ribs space has enriched the exhibition layout while the Broker area has further promoted the business soul of VYR, making it more and more an appointment of excellence among the salons of the sector “.
