Clearvac Italia has all the legal requirements to be able to carry out cleaning, disinfection, pest control, deratization and sanitization activities in accordance with Ministerial Decree no. 274 of 7 July 1997, "Regulations for the implementation of articles 1 and 4 of Law no. 82 of 25 January 1994, governing cleaning, disinfection, pest control, deratization and sanitization activities" and for the purposes of Law no. 82 of 25 January 1994, as defined below:
(a) cleaning activities are those involving the complex of procedures and operations designed to remove dust, unwanted material or dirt from surfaces, objects, confined spaces and areas of relevance.
b) Disinfection activities are those involving all procedures and operations aimed at making certain confined environments and pertinent areas healthy through the destruction or inactivation of pathogenic micro-organisms.
c) Disinfestation activities are those which concern the complex of procedures and operations aimed at destroying small animals, in particular arthropods, either because they are parasites, vectors or reservoirs of infectious agents or because they are pests and unwanted plant species. Disinfestation can be complete if it is addressed to all pests or targeted if it is addressed to a single species;
d) Deratization activities are those which concern the complex of procedures and pest control operations aimed at determining either the complete destruction or the reduction of the number of the population of rats or mice below a certain threshold;
e) Sanitization activities are those which concern the set of procedures and operations aimed at making certain environments healthy through cleaning and/or disinfection and/or pest control or through the control and improvement of microclimate conditions.
The term sanitization therefore includes the activities of ordinary cleaning with water and detergent followed by a decontamination treatment (sanitization and/or disinfection). The sanitization may be necessary to decontaminate entire environments, thus requiring specific equipment for the dissemination of active ingredients and professional expertise, or areas or surfaces circumscribed, where interventions are also within the reach of non-professionals.
The sanitization intervenes by reducing or eliminating pathogenic microorganisms immediately, but its effectiveness does not last over time. Frequent cleaning and sanitizing interventions are important, even if more limited to the surfaces of more frequent contact. Clearvac uses ozone technology as a natural method of sanitising environments such as living quarters, common areas and workplaces.
The use of ozone has proven to be the most effective method of environmental sanitation, with an undeniable advantage in terms of time and cost. Ozone is an oxidant. It is called "active oxygen" and is the most effective agent in the neutralization of bacteria, viruses, microorganisms, fungi, larvae and odors. Thanks to its particular molecular structure, composed of three oxygen atoms, it can penetrate even the smallest cracks.
Ozone is a totally green technology. After the oxidizing action it decomposes again in oxygen. It is effective for sanitising curtains, mattresses and furniture in every living environment on board.
